This week is National School Breakfast Week. We are encouraging everyone to take advantage of the healthy choices available with school breakfast. Busy weekday mornings make it a challenge for many families to find time for a healthy breakfast. Fortunately, Allenstown schools offer nutritious school breakfasts, complete with fruit and low-fat or fat-free milk, to ensure students are fueled for learning every school day. This year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture is allowing all children to receive school breakfast and lunch for free, without an application, so it’s a great time for families to give school breakfast a try. If you want to give breakfast a try, sign up in the morning.
Breakfast Fact of the day – The tallest stack of pancakes is 101.8 cm (3 ft 4 in) and was made by Center Parcs Sherwood Forest (UK), in Rufford, Newark, UK, on 8 February 2016.
Permission slips for the virtual cook night will go home today and tomorrow. They are due back with the money Wednesday (Cohort B) and Thursday (Cohort A).
Reminder Talent show recording will take place this Wednesday and Thursday after school. There is a late bus if you need it. Please make sure you bring everything you need to perform and come performance ready. You may use the school bathrooms to change if you would like to do an outfit change for the performance.
