Dear Allenstown Families,

Just a few things as we officially start the holiday break…

We are very excited to announce that we have hired a science teacher for grades 7 and 8. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Berghom to ARD. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology . She has experience with students in the after school program in Bristol, substitute teaching in Bow, and she just finished her internship and capstone portfolio in grades 6, 7, and 8 at the Holderness Central School. In addition, she has coaching experience in both soccer and track and field. I did share the news with the students on Friday and they were excited.

Blizzard Bags – Grades 5 and 6 students had Blizzard Bag packets go home before the break. They are in a large brown envelope and should be kept in a safe place at home in the event that we call a Blizzard Bag day. Grades 7 and 8 students Blizzard Bag booklets (not in a brown envelope) went home several weeks ago. The Allenstown disrict has been approved to use Blizzard Bags starting 1/2/19 (if we have a snow day).

Most importantly, I wish you and your family a safe and festive holiday and I look forward to working with all of you in 2019.

Best,
Shannon Kruger

Reminder…we all return on Wednesday, 1/2/19.
