It is important to the ARD student council that this is a fun event that does not take away from learning. For Bring anything but a backpack day we ask that you bring something that is about the size of your backpack and could fit in your locker, something that is not distracting to the class, and it must be school appropriate. We would like you to be creative, but ask that you do follow these expectations. Some ideas for Bring Anything But a Backpack Day would be a cinch sack, sport bag, or a box. We look forward to seeing what you come up with!

The ARD basketball teams are playing ¨home games¨ at Three Rivers School this Friday, February 18 starting at 4 PM. Student council encourages the whole student body to show their support for our basketball teams this Friday as they have played with limited spectators all season. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!

The Economic Development Committee has announced its final event of the year, the Annual Christmas Lighting Contest. You can register your home from Nov. 15 to Nov. 30. Isn't it crazy to see artificial Christmas Trees and decorations in stores this early?

But you are probably planning to set up your decorations before it gets too cold. One or two photos will help residents identify your home when they drive to get a look.

This year, there are going to be trophies and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Read and please adhere to the contest details by going to https://allenstown-alt.org/edc-2021-calendar.htm#november and clicking on The Story for November 15.

The PTO is having another small appreciation for Staff the first week of December. We are trying for it to be a surprise. Below is the sign up genius link (staff, don't peek!)

Message From Mrs. Kruger 8/10/21

The School Board met last night and proposed and approved a opening plan. Please read the attached plan so that you know all of the details before the year starts. Below is a summary from the, "Specifics" section of the plan:
1. In-Person learning model- Students will return to school full time unless they are receiving home education or have withdrawn to attend another school.
2. Masks- Optional on school grounds, required on buses. Staff will emphasize that mask use will be a personal decision and redirect behavior that singles out individuals for making these personal choices.
3. Social Distancing- Will be maintained when possible.
4. Athletics- NHIAA guidelines will be followed and will be communicated by the athletic director.
5. Health Screenings- We will no longer utilize daily screenings. We will be relying on families to screen at home.
6. Vaccinations- While the CDC has asked us to encourage our community to get the vaccine, we acknowledge that this is a personal decision. Disclosing whether or not you have received the vaccine is completely voluntary and students/faculty will not be segregated due to their vaccine status.
7. Contact Tracing- Will be determined by NHDHHS. Currently there is no contact tracing taking place. Parents/Guardians of close contacts will be notified by phone from the school.
8. Communication of Cases- The district will be publishing active cases of COVID-19 in our buildings on a weekly basis. This information will be published on our website and individual letters will no longer be sent home.
