Since we only used the words twice last week, we will repeat them this week.
The words of the week are pace and adjust.
Pace means rate of speed (how fast or slow something is going).
She was nervous and began to pace the room.
Adjust means to move or change something
The straps on your backpack are adjustable.
The winner of December’s Sentence of the Month is Josie Dones and her sentence was I see a garden that has bulk flowers in it. Congratulations, come to the office for your prize.
Thank you to the third graders for all the wonderfuls sentences, keep up the good work.
Registration for the Pats Peak Learn to Ski and Ride Program is open! An informational notice has gone home with students and another will be sent next month. If you are interested in registering your child for the Ski and Ride Program, here are some things you should know.
- The program runs for 5 weeks on Fridays, beginning February 18th and ending March 25th. Lessons begin at 3:30. There is free ski time following from 4:30-6:30.
- As of now, there is no bus transportation available from Allenstown. We are still working on it and hoping to be able to offer a bus. If one becomes available, it will be an additional fee to be paid later on.
- Currently, there will be chaperones from Allenstown at Pats Peak from 2:45-6:45 each week. You are welcome to drop your student off and pick them back up, stay and watch them, or ski/ride with them! A parent pass is available for an extremely discounted rate of $33 per day. Up to 3 of these can be purchased for any persons accompanying a registered student.
We are happy to help answer any questions you may have. Feel free to contact Molly Ireland, [email protected] or Brigitte Paquin, [email protected].
Don't miss this great opportunity to get your child involved in winter sports!
Now that it is winter, please make sure that your child comes to school with a minimum of a winter coat, hat, and gloves. When snow is on the ground, students will also need snow pants and boots to play in the snow. All students go outside everyday. If you need assistance with any of these items, please contact Pam Miller at [email protected].
Homework Club is available for students who have homework to complete. They can also complete their daily reading, Zearn/math, etc. Adult(s) will be available to assist students. Please note that this is not an individual tutoring service, it is homework help. Homework club meets every Monday through Thursday. Permission slips are available in the office.
Please remember to call the attendance line before the start of school (485-9574) if your student is going to be absent or late. It is extremely important for us to be able to account for all students ASAP incase of an emergency.
